The National Arts Council would like to apologise to its patrons for this change of the performance dates.

SISTIC will contact patrons who have bought tickets to advise them on admission/new purchases/refunds. Patrons can use their original tickets on 5 and 6 Jun for admission to performances on 20 and 21 Jun respectively, with no change to their seats (for example, patron with a 5 Jun ticket can attend 20 Jun show).

A rehearsal tonight will ensure that all technical and pyrotechnic arrangements will be in good running order. This is the first time in my recollection that the Festival has opened with an event on water. Previous openings have seen parades down the shopping heart of Singapore at Orchard Road, the rustic feel of ritual performances in Festival Village at Fort Canning Park, and last years aerial and gravity-defying Dreams in Flight at the Padang. Indeed, this is probably the first time in the rivers history too that it is used as a performance "stage".
